We lose friends.
We are hurt by those meant to love us.
We struggle to find answers.
We will likely never have resolution.
We might find comfort simply by accepting the reality
We are just collateral damage.

I think the softest most beautiful souls are the ones that can be hurt so deeply. There is no way through without acceptance at some point and loving detachment so we don’t hurt ourselves anymore due to someone else’s lack of depth, care and sensitivity. Hugs ❤

I completely agree! I love the message in your first sentence. Sensitivity has it’s pro’s and con’s and with that comes the need for self protection. Hugs to you too ❤

Another phenomenal truism. I love the expanse of your courage and honesty, few write with your candor and insight. I found myself nodding and re-reading. Always the best sign of something that has stirred you. xo

So true. I had to end an almost 30 year friendship recently because I couldn’t allow her to hurt me anymore.

I have had a similar experience except the friend left me. I have to work hard to remember that it is on her… It’s sad. I’m glad you are taking care of yourself!
